I never got to obtain a Sabrina bag by Coach, but even to this day I’m still craving and I feel like I must add one to my collection someday. With the introduction of the latest Sabrina satchels by Coach handbags, I feel like I might just be one step closer to hitting a Coach bags boutique. Here is one of the latest twists to one of the brands most attractive satchel, the Sequins Sabrina.

When it comes to this eye-catchy satchel, I would prefer the vibrant color of a soft leather version to one with the word “sequin” in its name. But there is something quite attractive about the array of sequins lining the snake print, which makes up for most of this satchel’s body. Plus, the lively metallic all-natural leather brings out the attractiveness of this desert beauty, even more.

All the great features that the Sabrina bag is known for having is found on this piece as well, with the extra addition of a giant flattering gemstone right next to the oversized Coach tag. I’m giving this coach bag a two thumbs up, as this is one of the most attractive animal print pieces I’ve seen by the House.

We’ve already seen a lot of what Coach has to offer from their spring 2010 collection and if you are to take a look at each of those, you can conclude that their spring offerings have to do with ultra modern styling. If you want another proof to that, here’s the Coach handbags.

It may seem too busy, but the color combination somehow manages to keep this coach bags refined in a way. Most of the shock value of  Coach handbags releasing a bag with a four-figure price tag wore off years ago, but the disparity between the prices of the Coach Madison Calf Hair Brynne Satchel and the Coach Madison Ocelot Sabrina Satchel truly caught be off guard.

The Brynne, left, is made of printed calf hair with leather trim and is 14 inches wide. The Sabrina, on the right, is nylon with leather trim and measures 12 inches across. If you had shown me the bags and asked me to guess, I would have pegged the Brynne at about $700 – one of Coach bags pricier offerings, but not out of the brand’s normal range these days. The Sabrina would have been much lower, probably about $300. On one count, I would have been remarkably close ; on the other, not so much.

The nylon Sabrina, as I had guessed, is priced at $298. On the other hand, the slightly larger Brynne, rendered in calf hair, rings up at a whopping $1400. Surely there’s a large difference between the wholesale prices for calf hair and nylon, and likely increased difficulties in processing, dying and sewing calf hair, but an $1100 difference for a brand whose bags normally cost far less than a thousand dollars is a bit quizzical.

Coach bag has many, many loyal fans who love the brand’s bags , and I can’t help but think that those enthusiastic Coach customers have to be the primary audience for such an expensive bag. For $1400, I’m running straight to Balenciaga. Then again, that’s my favorite brand, so I can understand the why Coach fans feel the way they do about their label. For that amount of money, though, I’d suggest they buy the Sabrina and save the other $1100 for two or more future Coach purchases.

Looking at this coach handbags already tells that this is going to be a chic new season carryall. While we know that totes are everywhere these days in time for the vacation season, coming in a very bright and vibrant colorful design all the more makes this a seasonal bag.
